Dr. Laura Su is an Assistant Professor of Rheumatology in the Department of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a practicing rheumatologist and a human immunologist. She went to MIT for her undergraduate studies, obtained MD.PhD degrees from NYU, and completed internal medicine residency, rheumatology fellowship, and postdoctoral training at Stanford. As a rheumatologist, she is also passionate about uncovering ways that immune homeostasis can become dysregulated and contribute to autoimmune diseases. Current projects in her lab focus on rheumatoid arthritis, type I diabetes, and COVID-19 vaccines. She is a NIH and VA funded investigator and a newly elected member of The American Society of Clinical Investigations.
